Dr. Maureen (Perzan) Piché, Dentist
Dr. Maureen Piché chose a career in dentistry to bring her passion for quality, comfortable dental care to her profession.
Having grown up in smaller Canadian cities (Thunder Bay, Prince George and rural Manitoba), Dr. Piché finds her heart at home in Steveston (since 2004) enjoying the local community. After practicing at a dental clinic in Rosetown, Saskatchewan as well as Saskatoon, she is happy to be back providing dental care on the West Coast. Before establishing Harmony Dental Studio, Maureen worked as an associate dentist in White Rock and Surrey, instructed at Vancouver College of Dental Hygiene and served as a locum in an Orthodontic practice. Her educational background includes an HBSc Degree in Biology from Lakehead University and a DMD from University of British Columbia.
Continuing educational pursuits have included:
- Implantology (MDI Denture Stabilization, implant restoration)
- Periodontics Study Club
- Cerec Restorations
- Ongoing training in cosmetic dentistry
Having provided volunteer children’s dental care in the Dominican Republic and Guatemala, Maureen is committed to providing care to underserviced populations. Current initiatives are focused on groups with little access to care here in Canada such as geriatric and First Nations populations and representing their needs to local MLAs.
Maureen was the winner of the Earl Ellison Award for Excellence in Geriatric Dentistry while attending UBC and it has remained a focus of her care since then.
As a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentists Maureen attends courses that are specific to making beautiful natural smiles regularly but also participates in their Give Back a Smile (GBAS) Program. With this program she can use her talents to restore the smiles (and confidence) of victims of domestic abuse.
Personally, Maureen lives, buys and supports the Steveston community with her husband Kirk, daughter Bryn and sons Duke and Rex. Hobbies are jogging the best trails in Richmond, frequenting the dog parks, canoeing, gardening and cooking.Want to meet the team? Check out our video gallery!

Merissa, Dental Hygienist
Merissa was born and raised in Victoria, BC. Growing up with a mom who was a Certified Dental Assistant, she knew from an early age that she was destined to work in the dental field herself. She attended Camosun College after high school and started working on the prerequisites for Dental Hygiene. In between, she applied and completed the Certified Dental Assistant program in 2007.
After working for a number of years at a busy practice, doing chairside and front end duties, she found herself on a backpacking trek across Europe. When she got home, she decided she needed a change of scenery, and moved to the lower mainland. While she was waiting for her name to come up on the waitlist at Camuson, she applied, and was promptly accepted, to the Dental Hygiene program at Vancouver Community College.
After graduating in 2012, Merissa was hired as a hygienist at a busy mall practice. She was also able to gain some experience assisting a Periodontist while there. Merissa started at Harmony Dental Studio in October 2015. She is thrilled to work in a patient and health orientated practice, and tries to incorporate her unique skill set in her daily practice.
When she’s not working, Merissa enjoys spending time in the kitchen, knitting, and is an avid reader. She loves to get outdoors and walks frequently, enjoys playing softball, and has been bit hard by the travel bug!Want to meet the team? Check out our video gallery!
